- Abstract:
Several homeotic genes controlling flower development have been
characterized in Antirrhinum and Arabidopsis. Comparisons of their mutant
phenotypes, expression patterns and genetic interactions have revealed
that many of the basic mechanisms controlling flower development have been
conserved in evolution, although important differences in the balance and
interactions of genes also exist. [References: 21]
